Dear Mr. Kilburn:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an applicationfor a minor
development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.' The proposed
project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for
Exemption and will not require a minor development permit. However,
if your plans should change you will need to contact this office
before proceeding.
Proposed project and location is described as: A 5' x,152'
straight pier and two mooring pilings at your property, lot #12 of
the Spicer's Creek Subdivision off SR 1321 on Spicer's Creek near
the Pamlico County Community of Whortonsville, N. C.
This Certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following.expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary ,to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the,project a building permit is required
