Dear Mr. and Mrs. Forrest:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor
development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The proposed
project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for
Exemption and will not require a minor developmenttpermit. However,
if,your plans should change you will need to contact this office
before proceeding. -
Proposed project and location is described as: An addition
to an existing dwelling on -your property which is located approxi-
mately two blocks on the left after the turn off Hwy. 55 onto SR 1005
on Smith Creek near the Pamlico County Community of Oriental, N. C.
This Certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance'- applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7R .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of,the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
