Dear Mr. Edwards:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor
,development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The proposed
project, as submitted, is in accordance with the enclosed Criteria for
Exemption and will not require a minor development permit. However,
if your plans should change you will need to contact. this office
before proceeding.
Proposed project and location is described as: A 6' x 1814" room
addition and new roof system over entire existing structure on your
property off SR 1114 in Kennels Beach on Pecan Lane on the Neuse River
in Pamlico County, N. C.
This Certification of Exemption from requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor
Permit is valid for ninety days from the date of issuance - applies
ONLY to exemptions for piers, docks, and decks pursuant to 15A NCAC
7K .0203 and NOT for single family dwellings. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project a building permit is required
