Dear Mr. Bennett:
lie have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your
inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor
development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The project
you propose, as submitted, is exempt from needing a minor develolxnent
permit. However, if your plans should change you will need to contact
this office before proceeding.
Proposed project and location described as: A 96' long pier
(5' x 64' and 8' x 321) and four tie piles at Lot #51 Buccaneer Bay
West, Sec. II -Subdivision near the Pamlico Country Co nmuni y of
Oriental, N. C. on Kershaw Creek.
This certification of exemption fran requiring a C.A.M.A. Minor Permit
is valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following expir-
ation, a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary to
renew this certification.
Prior to beginning the project, a building permif is required. If you
have any questions regarding this matter, please contact us.
