All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the application dated 5/06/04 and work drawings submitted on 5106104. 2. All construction mast conform to the NC Building Code requirements and all Local, State, and Federal regulations. 3. Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use actfvitiies will require a re-evaluation and modification of this permit 4. Pursuant to 15A NCAC 07J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold, or otherwise disposed of to a third party by the applicant, agent, or any entity other than the NC Division of Coastal Management. 5. No excavation or filling of any wetlands or waters L9 authorized under this permit 6. This project is located in the Nauss River Basin and is subject to the EMC's Nense River Riparian Surfer Regulations. This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per- mit m,,st cease until the appeal is resolved. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered under this permit requires further written permit approval. Place riprap at top of the bank parallel to the Neuse River shoreline. This riprap would be to edge and level the top of the bank approximately 24 feet on level straight line from medium high water mark. It would be approximately 180 feet long, three feet wide and two feet high. 2. Replace salt treated planking (2inch by flinch) in lower deck, which is 9 feet wide by 28 feet long. This planking was washed out during Hurricane Isabel. 3. Construct a wooden boat ramp (slide) to put in and take out small personal watercraft. The ramp would be constructed of 2 parallel 4 inch by 12 inch stringers (each stringer would consist of two 2 by 12s bolted together) tied togetber with 2 inch by 10 inch cross supports every 4 feet along entire length . Galvanized bolts and nuts will be used to tic the pieces together. The stringers would be approximately 60 feet long from end in river to top of bank. They would be supported by 12, 6 inch by 6 inch pilings. The ramp and four of these pilings would extend out into the river approximately 10 feet as measured from the medium high water mark along the shore of the Neuse River. The pilings would be washed in to a depth of 5 feet. The other pilings would be located as fellows: 4 at a point in the granite rock at equally divided intervals up the embankment and 4 would be placed at the top of the bank. An electric wench would be installed to assist in boat retrieval. 4. Remove a large dead tree that was struck by lighting last year. This tree is located approximately 80 fe wt from the river's medium high water mark. 5. Construct a set of stairs from the dock to the beach. These stairs would be approximately 6 feet long and 5 feet wide. They would be located on each side of the deck where the dock and deck meet. They would each be tied to two 6 inch by 6 inch pilings washed into the river approximately 5 feet.
