permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civl action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
***This permit authorizes construction of a retaining wall. Any other development will require
additional permits or a modification of this permit. The following conditions shall apply:
1. All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with
the application dated 6/04103 and work drawings submitted on 6104/03.
2. All construction must conform to the NC Building Code requirements and all Local,
- State, and Federal regulations.
3. Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or In -ad use activities
will require a re-evaluation and modification of this permit.
4. Pursuant to 15A NCAC 07J.0406 ft this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold,
or otherwise disposed of to a third party by the applicant, agent, or any entity other than
the NC Division of Coastal Management.
5. No excavation or Suing of any wetlands or waters Is authorized under this permit.
6. This project is located in the Neese River )Basin and is subject to the FMC's Neese River
Riparian Buffer Regulations. Contact Tom Steffens with NC Division of Witter Quality
at.(2S2).94&W1 for approval prior to project initiation.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other
qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per-
mit trust cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project Is inspected for compliance.

I acknowledge that the land owner is aware that the proposed development is planned for an area which may
be susceptible to erosion and/or floodin&. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained to me the
particular hazard problems associated with this lot. This explanation was accompanied by recommendations
concerning stabilization and floodproofing techniques.

The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management hereby acknowledges receipt of
your application for state approval for minor development of the property located at 114
8ruggs Court in Craven County. It was received on June 6-25-03, and appears to be
adequate for processing at this time. The projected deadline for making a decision is 7-
20-03.
NCGS 113A 119(b) requires that Notice of an application be posted at the location of the
proposed developmeat. r=Iosed you will fad a "Notice of Permit Filing" postcard
which must be posted at the property of your proposed development. You should post
this notice at a conspicuous point along your property where it can be observed from a
public road. Some examples would be: Naffing the notice card to a telephone pole or tree
along the road right-of-way fronting the property, or at a point along the road right-of-
waywhere a private road would lead one into your property. Failure to post this notice
