Dear Mr. Anthony:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the necessity of
filing an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The
activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit as long as it meets the
conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer meet those
conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS: You propose to construct a 4 x 8 storage building
located at Northshore MHP, Lot 512, Atlantic Beach, NC.
Any accessory use must be directly related to the dominant use, must not require plumbing, electrical or
other service connections, must not exceed 200 square foot in area, must not be within 20, of any
permanent surface waters, and must be consistent with all local land use plans.
Should this accessory use be a deck, this certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following expiration, a reexamination of the project
and project site may be necessary to renew this certification.
