This permit, issued on is subjectto compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent
with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
Residential structure, including prepartory landscape within 75' of estaurine waters.
1. Impervious surfaces shal not exceed 30% oft lot area within the AEC;
2. Provide a buffer zone of at least`3 feet from the mean high water line;
3. Where a buffer area is not maintained, a filter cloth must be installed between any
grading and marsh or water body until the area is stabilized with a vegatative cove .

This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this permit
must cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessibleto the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit requires further written permit approval.
All work must' cease when this permit expires on
DECEMBER 31. 1998
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consis-
tent with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.

I acknowledge that the land owner is aware that the proposed development is planned for an area which may
be susceptible to erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained to me the
particular hazard problems associated with this lot. This explanation was accompanied by recommendations
concerning stabilization and floodproofing techniques. ,

CAMA PERMIT NOTICE
Pursuant to CGS 113A-119 (b) , Emerald Isle, a locality authorized to
issue permits in Area; of Riviro.xxiental Concern, hereby give NTICE
that on August 1, 1995 Donald Winstead applied for a CAVA permit- to
erect a single family duelling, 4 beclroaris, 4 baths, 800 sq. ft. of
decking, concrete drive, pier and tee not to exceed 200 sq. ft. on
to Hogue Sound.
The application may. be inspected at the address below. Public
comments received by August 14, 1995 will be c�-L-aidered. Later
c=aents will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit
decision. Project trcdifications may occur based on further review
and co€arfeants. notice of the permit decision on this matter will be

Dear Mr. Bridgers
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your request to construct a
boatlift and find you are exempt from needing a Minor Development Permit as long as it mets.
the specifications below:
Your 'letters have been received and are on file in this office to the adjoining
property owners to advise of the project.
All pilings shall be a minimum of 611x6" square and shall have an 8' minimum
tip penetration..
The boatlift shall not exceed 16' from the mean high water mark. to. the railing and -
handrails may be added.
Prior'to construction, piling depths must be certified,`either by an engineer or having
the building inspector on site at the,time of piling placement.
The total boatlift area is not to exceed 500 square feet.
Construction must conform to all applicable state and local construction requiremtns
as illustrated in Bogue Sound pier/boat lift specifications.
A pier is not to exceed 200' in length, or 4' of water at low tide, nor to exceed 200 square
feet for and tee; nor shall the pier exceed.6' to width.
Any variation of the above will require a CAMA permit;•also� this certification of exemption
from requireing a CAMA permit is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration a re-examinatin of the project site may be necessary. to renew this certification.
