We have received the information submitted to this office in your inquiry con-
cerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor development permit
under the Coastal Area Management Act. The activity you propose is exempt
from needing a minor development permit providing it complies with the condi-
tions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no
longer meet those conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS:
ACTIVITY: TO CONSTRUCT AN SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE, GARAGE, PORCH, STEPS
AND DRIVEWAY IN BLUE HERON BAY NEAR THE BLUE HERON BAY MARINA.
CONDITIONS: TOTAL IMPERVIOUS SURFACE OF AREA WITHIN 5751 OF HIGH WATER
MARK SHALL NOT EXCEED 25$. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER LAND
DISTURBANCE. ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SUBMITTED
PLAT. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL
REGULATIONS. A BUILDING PERMIT IS REQUIRED.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA Permit is valid for
ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following expiration, a review of
the project and project site may be necessary to renew this certification.

Dear Larry:
Enclosed is a waterfront property request for a CAMA exemption
for Lot 64 Blue Heron Bay. The lot is located on the Blue Heron
Bay Marina approximately 450' from Bogue Sound. The tax parcel
number is 1519E120.• The owner is CARI-AN, Inc.. I am acting
as agent for the owner and will start construction after your
review and approval.
The septic system has already been installed and I enclosed
approval letters from both adjoining property owners. The
drawing should provide all necessary detail. Please call me
with any questions.
