As we are sure you are aware, there is a tidal marsh that covers the majority of the lot in question and comes up to our driveway within 150 feet of the front property line. We are concerned with the environmental impact another dwelling might have on this. This marsh is utilized, not only by aquatic creatures, also by land animals such as raccoon, opossum, deer and fox, to name a few. These creatures are nurtured by the organisms that live in the marsh and any chemical run off, or increase in phosphorus from another septic system could do irreparable damage. As long as there is a need for septic systems on Emerald Isle, we will object to any additional construction on this land.
