The activity you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit as long as it meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer meet those conditions, please contact me before proceeding. DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS: SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCES: (7K.0208) A single-family residence must be located more than forty (40) feet landward of the mean high water mark or normal water level within the Estuarine Shoreline Area of environmental concem. No land disturbing activity may occur within that forty (40) feet buffer zone other than construction of a six (6) feet wide access to the water. Confirmation must be provided that written statements have been obtained from adjacent riparian property owners indicating that they have no objections to the proposed work. As per the approved plans dated 01-09-95, you are proposing to enclose an existing deck attached to a single-family residence, located at 122 McGinnis Drive, Pine Knoll Shores, Carteret County, NC, approximately 50' feet landward of the mean high water mark Any change in plans shall be approved by the CAMA Local Permit Officer/Building Inspector prior to work commencing. Enclosed are drawings showing the changes we propose. Those affecting the building exterior are: 1. Enclosure of the atrium including installation of two skylights and one window on the north side. 2. Installation of two skylights in the bedroom adjacent to the atrium. 31 The addition of a room by enclosing the deck area adjacent to the dining room north wall and living room west wall. 4. Expansion of the deck area to facilitate movement around the addition. 5. Installation of storm/screen doors on the front and side entries using Croft series 1000 bronztone aluminum doors.
