Dear Mr. -Ford:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your request to construct a
boatlift and find you are exempt from needing a Minor Development Permit as long as it mets
the specifications below:
Your letters have been received and are on file in this office to the adjoining
property owners to advise of the project.
All pipings shall be a minimum of 611x6" square and shall have an 8' minimum
tip penetration.
The'boatlift shall not exceed 16' from the mean high water mark to the railing and
handrails may be added.
Prior to construction, piling depths must be certified, either by an engineer or having
the building inspector on si,teat the time o£ piling place-mient.-

The total boatlift area is not to exceed 500 square feet.
Construction must conform to all applicable state and local construction requiremtns
as illustrated in Bogue.Sournd.pier/boat lift specifications.
A pier is not to exceed 200' in length, or 4' of water at low tide, nor to exceed 200 square
feet for and tee; nor shall the pier exceed 6' to.-
width.
Any variation of the above will require a CAMA-permit; also, this certificatica-i of exemption
from requireing a CAMA permit is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration a re-examinatin of the project site may be necessary to renew this certification.
