II_20150512Atlantic Beach, ES-2015.11 Permit Number CAMA MINOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT as authorized by the State of North Carolina, Department of Environment, and Natural Resources and the Coastal Resources Commission for development In an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A•118 of the General Statutes,"Coastal Area Management" Issued toZtrotid Engineering on behalf of A.B. Cooper Il authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at North Shore Drive #1, in Atlantic Beach, as requested in the permittee's application, dated April 28, 2015. This permit, issued on May 12, 2015, is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void. This permit authorizes; four drop inlets along North Shore Drive One approximately 400 linear feet of storm piping, level spreader and a vegetated filter strip at the outlet that discharges into Bogue Sound. It also authorizes modification to the existing bulkhead, grading, and asphalt resurfacing. (1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat drawings(s) dated received on April 28, 2015. (2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations, applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations. (3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and modification of this permit. (4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at (252) 726-4456 for a final inspection at completion of work. (Additional Permit Conditions on Page 2) This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the Issuing date. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is Inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or project modification not covered under this permit, require further written permit approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on; DECEMBER 31, 2018 In issuing this permit it Is agreed that this project is consistent with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances. No portion of the roof overhang shall encroach into the 30 ft. buffer. (7) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must be installed between the land disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover. (8) Any proposed for grading within the 30' buffer from the normal high water must be contoured to prevent additional stormwater runoff to the adjacent marsh. This area shall be immediately vegetatively stabilized, and must remain in a vegetated state. (9) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction completion. Cullipher, PE 151-A Hwy 24 Morehead City , NC 28557 (252) 247-7479 Stroud Engineering, P.A. is requesting a CAMA Minor Permit for construction of storm drainage improvements in North Shore Mobile Home Park. The parcel of the mobile home park with proposed improvements is the 4.1 acre tract off of North Shore Drive I. To the east of the site is a mix of single family homes and mobile homes. To the south is the other portion of the North Shore Mobile Home Park on North Shore Dr. II. To the north and west is Bogue Sound. The proposed improvements are four drop inlets along North Shore Dr. I, approximately 400 LF of storm piping, level spreader and a vegetated filter strip at the outlet that discharges into Bogue Sound with minor modification of the existing bulkhead to allow for the vegetated filter strip. Grading is proposed as necessary and asphalt resurfacing is proposed near entrance of North Shore Dr. I for drainage purposes. Where the proposed storm structures are close to existing structures, hand clearing and hand installation will be required to prevent impacts to the adjacent structures. A separate tool shed shall be relocated for the installation of storm pipe. No wetlands shall be impacted with this project. Some examples would be: Nailing the notice card to a telephone pole or tree along the road right-of- way fronting your property; or at a point along the road right-of-way where a private road would lead one into your property.
