and Natural Resources and the Coastal Resources Commission for• development
in an area of environment concern pursuant to section 113A-118 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management'
Issued to Charles Stephenson, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline - ORW (AEC) al 209 Jones Street, in
Ceder Point, NC, as requested in the permittee's application, dated 04118112. This permit, issued on 051�, is subject
to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and
special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment
or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.

(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other; local, State and Federal regulations,

modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 252-393-3204 for a final inspection at
completion of work.

This permit action may be appealed by The permlllee or other qualified persons
within twenty (20) days of The Issuing date. From the date of an appeal, any
work conducted under this permit must cease until the appeal is resolved. This
permit must be on the project site and acoessibie to the permit officer when the
project is Inspected for compliance. Any malntenance work or project
modl'rcatlon not covered under this permit, require further written pemril
approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on:

(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 25% of the lot area within 675 feet of Normal High Water
(Estuarine Shoreline - ORW Area of Environmental Concern), in this case, 4,320 square feet is authorized.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(10), and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
developmenticonstruction shall be located a distance of 30 feet landward of Normal High Water. No portion of the
roof overhang shall encroach into the 30 ft. buffer.
(7) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area
has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover.
(8) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) witWw 14 days of construction _
completion.

Dear Mr. Moore:
I have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning
the necessary filing of an application for a minor development permit under the
Coastal Area Management Act. After making a site inspection on 05/07112, 1 have
determined that the activity you propose is exempt from needinct;a minor
development permit as long as it remains consistent with your site drawing
submitted on 05/01/12 and it also meets the conditions specified below. If you
plans should change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please
contact me before proceeding.
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES WITHIN THE ESTUARINE SHORELINE AREA
OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN EXEMPTED
1. All development shall be located at least 40 feet of the mean high
water mark or normal water level from waters classified as ORW.
2. No ground disturbance or land disturbing activity shall occur within
40 feet of the mean high water mark or normal water level from
waters classified as ORW.
3. The development may not exceed a 25% built upon area within 575
feet of the mean high water mark or normal water level of waters
classified as ORW, and shall not include any stor*ater collection
system.
4. The development shall be consistent with all other applicable CAMA
permit standards, North Carolina Building Code standards, local
