In an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the _
General Statutes, "coastal Area Management:'
Issued to Roger Cannon, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 112 Baywater Circle, in Newport,
NC, as requested in the permittee's application, dated 03/15112, This permit, issued on 03/30/12, is subject to
compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and
special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment
or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes: Construct retaining wall, fill and sod area behind wall

All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat
drawings(s) dated received on 03/15112.
All construction must conform to the KC, Building Code requirements and all oth it local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations. _
Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evalualion and
modification of this permit.
A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at 2521393-3204 for a final inspection at
completlon of work,

This permit WW may be appealed by the permitlee or other qualitled persons
within twenty (20) days of the Issuing date. From the date of an appeal, any
work conducted under this permit most cease until the appeal Is resolved. This
permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the
project Is Inspected for comMlanee. Any maintenance work or project
modification riot covered under this Wrnil, require further written permit
approval. Ali work must cease when this permit expires on:

In Issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent with the local Land
Use Plan and all applicable ordinances. This permil may not be transferred to
anaher party without the written approval of the Division of Coastal
Management.

(5) Unless specifically allowed In 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(10), and shown on the permitted plan drawing, all
development/construction shall be located a distance of 30 feet landward of Normal High Water.

(6) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area
has been properly stabillzed with a vegetative cover.
(7) Any proposed for grading within the 30' buffer from the Normal High Water must be contoured to prevent additional
stormwater runoff to the adjacent marsh. This area shall be immediately vegetatively stabilized, and must remain in
a vegetated state.
(8) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) wifn 14 days of construction —
completion.

Pursuant to NCGS 113A-119(b), Carteret County, a locality
authorized to issue CAMA permits in areas of environmental
concern, hereby gives notice that on March 15, 2012, Casey
Landscape Designs, agent for Roger Cannon, applied for a CAMA
Minor Permit to reconstruct a retaining wall, place fill and sod
on his lot in the Estuarine Shoreline AEC located at 112 Baywater
Circle Newport, NC.
