In an area of environment concern pursuant to Section 113A-1 8 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management'
issued to Johnny Brewer, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) 174 C Street, in Newport, NC, as
/requested in the permittee's application, dated 04/17112. This permit, issued on 041 112, is subject to compliance with
the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all applicable reg lations and special conditions and
notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject permittee to a tine, i prisonment or civil action, or may
cause the permit to be null and void. i
This permit authorizes: Construct 19x19 carport
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in
drawings(s) dated received on 04117112.
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all
applicable local ordinances and FEMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes in the plans for development, construction, or land use
modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at
completion of work.

This permit action may be appealed by the permiltee or other quafified persons
within twenty (20) days of the Issuing data, From the date of an appeal, any
work oonducled under this permit must cease until the appeal is resolved. This
permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permll officer when the
prof ed Is inspected for compliance. Any maintenance work or p(ged
modificalton not ocNered under this permit, require further written permit
approval. Al work must cease when this permit expires on:

(5) The amount of impervious surface shall not exceed 30% of the lot area within 75 fe t of Normal High Water
(Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern), in this case, 2,780 square feel is authorized.
(6) Unless specifically allowed in 15A NCAC 07H. 0209(d)(W), and shown on the perm tted plan drawing, all
development/construclion shall be located a distance of 30 feet landward of Normal High Water. No portion of the
roof overhang shall encroach into the 30 ft. buffer.
(7) All unconsolidated material resulling from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities , barrier line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water arcs, until such time as the area_
has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover.
(8) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) with 14 days of construction
completion.

may be susceptible to erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the Local Permit Officer has explained to me the particu-

Pursuant to NCGS 113A-119(b), Carteret County, a locality
authorized to issue LAMA permits in areas of environmental
concern, hereby gives notice that on April 14, 2012, Johnny
Brewer applied for a CAMA Minor Permit to remove and replace a
19x19 carport on his lot in the Estuarine Shoreline AEC located
at 174 C Street Newport, NC.
The application may be inspected at the addreVs below.
Public comments received by April 27, 2012, will be considered up
to the.time of permit decision. Project modifications may occur
based on further review and upon comments. Notice of the permit
decision in this matter will be provided upon written request.
