Issued to Channel Bay Mobile Home Park, authorizing development in the Estuarine Shoreline (AEC) at 135 Channel
Bay MHP, In Atlantic Beach, N.C., as requested in the permittee's application, dated ,tune 16, 2006. This permit, issued
on July 5, 2006, is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing (where consistent with the permit), all
applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below, Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
This permit authorizes the replacement of the mobile home located 8' landward of the bulkhead. The existing mobile home is 16' x
52' with a covered 12' x 16' porch for a total area of 1,024 sq. ft. within the 75 Area of Environmental Concern (AEC). The new
mobile home is 16' x 56' and the covered porch will be removed leaving a total area of 896 sq. ft. within the 75' AEC, which is 128
sq. ft. less impervious area than the existing.
(1) All proposed development and associated construction must be done in accordance with the permitted work plat drawing
received on June 20, 2006,
(2) All construction must conform to the N.C. Building Code requirements and all other local, State and Federal regulations,
applicable local ordinances and i:EMA Flood Regulations.
(3) Any change or changes In the plans for development, construction, or land use activities will require a re-evaluation and
modification of this permit.
(4) A copy of this permit shall be posted or available on site. Contact this office at (252) 726-4456 for a final inspection at
completion of work.

This permit action may be appealed by the permitlee or other qu:ffed persons
within twenty (20) days of the issuing date. From the date of on appeal, any
work conducted under this permit must•caaso until the appeal is resolved. This
permit tryst be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the
project is inspocled for compliance, Any maintenance work or protect
modfficatton not covered under this permit, roquirc further written permit
approval. All work must cease when this permit expires on:
DECEMBER 31, 2009
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent with the local Land
Use Plan and all applicable ordinances. This permit may not bo transferred to
another party without the written approval of the Division of Coastal
Management.

(5) All unconsolidated material resulting from associated grading and landscaping shall be retained on site by effective
sedimentation and erosion control measures. Prior to any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth must
be installed between the land disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area
has been properly stabilized with a vegetative cover.
(6) Any proposed area for grading within the 30' buffer from the normal high watermark must be contoured to prevent
additional stormwater runoff to the adjacent marsh. This area shall be immediately vegetatively stabilized, and must
remain in a vegetated state.
(7) All other disturbed areas shall be vegetatively stabilized (planted and mulched) within 14 days of construction
completion.

CAMA MINOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
Pursuant to NCGS 113A-119(b), the Town of Atlantic Beach, a locality authorized to issue
CAMA Permits in areas of environmental concern, hereby gives notice that on June 20,
2006 Channel Bay MHP applied for a CAMA Permit to replace the mobile home located at
135 Channel Bay MHP in Atlantic Beach, NC. The application may be inspected at the
address below. Public comments received by July 5, 2006 will be considered. Later
comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project
modifications may occur based on further review and comments. Notice of the permit
decision in this matter will be provided upon written request.

Plans for the Ll'P system shalt be prepared by a parson having a
demonstrated knowledge of LPP s, such as an engineer licensed with
the State of North Carolina.
The system shall be daip ed according 1D Sextlon 1900 of the State
Sewage Rules.
LPP plans shall be submitted to and approved by the Carteret County
EtwiroumanW Hcalm Division. Other requirements such as fill
and/or gtadinE may also be necessary.
A contract between the o%mer and a certified operator shall be
required for the purposes of maintenance and operation of the above
septic system -
STANDARD PROCEWM :

a. The fill area doold be cleared of any vegettive cover or
