e received your proposal for development regulated by the Coastal
Area Management Act (LAMA). The activity you propose is exempt from
needing a Minor Development Permit as long as it meets the conditions specified
below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer meet these
conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS: According to your
permit application you propose to demolish the existing single-family residence
on your property located at 408 South 15th Street, Morehead City, NC in
preparation of future development.
The structure must be located more than 40' landward of the mean high
water mark or normal water level within the Estuarine Shoreline Area of
Environmental Concern. No land -disturbing activity may occur within that 40'
buffer zone. Confirmation must be provided that written statements have been
obtained from adjacent riparian property owners indicating that they have no
objections to the proposed work.

FOR DEVELOPERS IN OCEAN HAZARD AND ESTUARINE HAZARD AREAS:
I acknowledge that the land owner is aware that the proposed development is planned for an area which may be susceptible to
erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained to me the particular hazard problems associ-
ated with this lot. This explanation was accompanied by recommendations concerning stabilization and floodproofing tech-
niques.
PERMISSION TO ENTER ON LAND:
I furthermore certify that I am authorized to grant and do in fact grant permission to the local permit officer and his agents to
enter on the aforementioned lands in connection with evaluating information related to this permit application.
This application includes: general information (this form), a site drawing as described on the back of this application, the
ownership statement, the AEC hazard notice where necessary, a check for $100.00 made payable to the locality, and any infor-
mation as may be provided orally by the applicant. The details of the application as described by these sources are incorporated
without reference in any permit which may be issued. Deviation from these details will constitute a violation of any permit. Any
person developing in an AEC without permit is subject to civil, criminal and administrative action.

CAMA PERMIT NOTICE
Pursuant to NCGS 113A-119(b), Morehead City, a locality authorized to issue CAMA permits in
Areas of Environmental Concern, hereby gives NOTICE that on July 9, 2004, Mark Hannula
(Agent for Barbara Rives Taylor) applied for a CAMA minor permit to construct a single-family
dwelling at 408 South 15th Street, Morehead City, NC.
The application may be reviewed at the Inspections and Planning Office, 706 Arendell Street,
Morehead City, NC, during normal business hours. If you have questions you may phone (252)
726-6848, ext. 38. Public comments received by July 24, 2004 will be considered. Later
comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project
modifications may occur based on further review and comments. Notice of the permit decision
in this matter will be provided upon written request.
