"OLIS ENGINEERING P.A.
P.O. Box 5564 . New Bern. North Carolina 28661 . (919) 633-CO68
April 19, 1996
Mr. Johnny Clark
Chief Building Inspector
City Of New Bern
Inspection Department
P.O. Box 1129
New Bern, NC 28563
RE: Lot 90 Turtle Bay Court, Olde Towne Subdivision, New Bern, NC
Dear Johnny:
Attached please find a CAMA Minor Development Permit Application
associated with the planned construction of a residence on lot 90
Turtle Bay Court in olde Towne Subdivision in New Bern, North
Carolina. In that the proposed impermeable surfaces inside of the
75 foot AEC exceeds 30%, an engineered stormwater system is
required. Please find enclosed for your consideration a copy of a
design of the engineered stormwater system in which we propose to
collect stormwater runoff from excess impermeable areas and have it
infiltrate in a swale located along`the eastern side of the lot.
Utilizing the proposed stormwater treatment method would not result
in the degradation of water quality in this area.
Should you have any comments or questions on the permit application
or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to call.

APPLICATION FOR
CAMA
MINOR

gemen c an set the stage .ar
guiding development in the fragile and productive areas
which border the staWs sounds and oceanfront. Along,
with requiring special care by those who build and
develop, the General Assembly directed the Coastal
Resources Commission (CRC) to implement clear regula-
tions which minimize the burden on the applicant.
This application for a minor development permit under
CAMA is part of the Commission's effort to meet the
spirit and intent of the General Assembly. It has been
designed to be straightforward and require no more
time or effort necessary from the applicant. Please go
over this folder with the Local Permit Officer (LPO) zor
the locality in which you plan to build to be certain 6-at
you understand what information he or she neeas.
Under CAMA regulations, the minor permit is to be
issued within 25 days once a complete application is in
hand Often less time is needed if the project is simple.
The process generally takes about 18 days. You can
speed the Approval process by making certain that your
application is complete and signed, that your drawing
meets the specifications given inside and that your
application fee is attached.
Otherpermits are sometimes required for development
in the coastal area. While these are not CAMA-related,
we urge you to check with the Local Permit Officer to
determine which of these you may need. A listing is
included on page 2 of this folder.
CarWe appreciate your cooperation with the North
olina Coastal ivlanagement Program and your
willingness to build in a way which protects the
resources of our beautiful and productive coast.
