ment in an area of environmental concern pursuant to Section 113A-118 of the
General Statutes, "Coastal Area Management."

to the public beach as reauested in the permittee's application dated May 22, 1984
This permit, issued on June 26, 1984 , is subject to compliance with the application and site drawing
(where consistent with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these
terms may subject permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; or may cause the permit to be null and void.
All development must be in accordance with the attached
application and plat.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or
other qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing
date. From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this
permit must cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit require further written permit approval.
All work must cease when this permit expires on
December 31, 1984
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consis-
tent with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.
This permit may not be transferred to another party without
the written approval of the Office of Coastal Management.

Dear George:
Included with this letter is a minor permit application
for an emergency vehicle ramp at Clark St. in Kill Devil Hills.
No grade modifications are proposed, but the deep sand at
this site does impeed access for emergency vehicles. The
Beach Lifeguard Service has located its operations and com-
munications headquarters just one block west of this ramp
and will be dispatching ocean rescue vehicles from its
headquarters building nearby. The proposed 2 x 4 flush
mounted vehicle access ramp will provide for speedy and
reliable access to the shoreline for ocean rescue equipment.
We hope you can expedite the processing of this permit as
the tourist season will soon be upon us. Thank you for your
assistance.
