No grade modifications are proposed, but the deep sand at this site does impeed access for emergency vehicles. The Beach Lifeguard Service has located its operations and com- munications headquarters just one block west of this ramp and will be dispatching ocean rescue vehicles from its headquarters building nearby. The proposed 2 x 4 flush mounted vehicle access ramp will provide for speedy and reliable access to the shoreline for ocean rescue equipment.
