with the permit), all applicable regulations and special conditions and notes set forth below. Any violation of these terms may subject
permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action, or may cause the permit to be null and void.
THIS PERMIT AUTHORIZES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 186 SQUARE FEET
DETACHED DECK WITH AN ABOVE GROUND RETAINING WALL. LAND
DISTURBANCE WILL TAKE PLACE APPROXIMATELY 25 FEET OFF THE
NORMAL WATER LINE OF QUEENS CREEK.
ANY OTHER DEVELOPMENT WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PERMITS OR
MODIFICATION OF THIS PERMIT. THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS SHALL
APPLY:
ALL CONSTRUCTION MUST CONFORM TO THE NC BUILDING CODE
REQUIREMENTS AND ALL LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
ANY CHANGE IN THE PLANS FOR DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION OR
LAND USE ACTIVITIES WILL REQUIRE A RE-EVALUATION AND
MODIFICATIO OF THIS PERMIT.
PURSUANT TO 15A NCAC 07J.0406(b), THIS PERMIT MAY NOT BE ASSIGNED,
TRANSFERRED, SOLD, OR OTHERWISE DISPOSED OF TO A THIRD PARTY BY
THE APPLICANT, AGENT OR ANY ENTITY OTHER THAN THE NC DIVISION
OF COASTAL MANAGEMENT.
This permit action may be appealed by the permittee or other
qualified persons within twenty (20) days of the issuing date.
From the date of an appeal, any work conducted under this per-
mit m.st cease until the appeal is resolved.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the
permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance.
Any maintenance work or project modifications not covered
under this permit requires further written permit approval.
All work must cease when tthis�permit expires on December
31, 5� ````1
In issuing this permit it is agreed that this project is consistent
with the local Land Use Plan and all applicable ordinances.
This permit may not be transferred to another party without
the written approval of the Division of Coastal Management.

CAMA PERMIT NOTICE
Pursuant to NCGS 113a-119(b), Onslow County, a locality authrized to issue CAMA
Permits in Areas of Environmental Concern, hereby gives NOTICE that on January 19,
2006, Jeffrey Hardison applied for a CAMA permit to construct a deck with steps and an
above ground retaining wall.
Property is located at 207 Great Neck Hill Road, Swansboro, NC.
Application may be inspected at the address below. Public
Comments received by January 30, 2006 will be considered. Later comments will be
accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. The Aforementioned project
is within an area of Environmental concern. Project modifications may occur based on
further review and comments. Notice of the Permit decision in this matter will be

We have received the information submitted to this office on your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing
an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The activity you
propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit providing it complies with the conditions
specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer meet these conditions, please
contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS:
CONSTRUCT A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE (2,230 SQ. FT.), APPROXIMATELY 60, OFF THE
NORMAL WATER LINE OF QUEENS CREEK.
Conditions: any change in this proposal shall be re-evaluated by the CAMA Officer. A building permit is
required. Construction must be performed in accordance with the permitted workplat originally submitted
on January 6, 2006. All Construction must conform to the North Carolina Building Code requirements and
all other Local, State and Federal regulations.
IN ADDITION: THE CONDITIONS BELOW APPLY:
The amount of impervious surface areas shall not exceed 30%of the lot area within the 75' Area of
Environmental Concern (AEC);
Pursuant to 15 NCAC, subchapter 7J.0406(b), this permit may not be assigned, transferred, sold or
otherwise disposed or to a third -party.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA Permit is valid for ninety (90) days from the date
of issuance. Following expiration, a review of the project and project site may be necessary to renew this
certification.
