Dear Ms. Jones:
We have received your proposal for development regulated by the Coastal Area
Management Act (CAMA). The activity that you propose is exempt from needing a
Minor Development Permit as long as it meets the conditions specified below as well as
the requirements set forth in N.C.A.A. T15A:07K.0200. If your plans should change and
your project will no longer meet these conditions, please contact our office before
proceeding.
Please note also that your project may be subject to the North Carolina Division of Water
Quality Neuse River Buffer Rules due to its location within the Neuse River Basin.
Please contact the Washington Regional Office at 252-946-6481.
The project is described as follows: Type AEC: Estuarine Shoreline Use: R
Construct a 208 sq. ft deck 50 feet from the shoreline at 526 River Rd., Arapahoe, NC
adjacent to the Neuse River in Pamlico County.
