FOR DEVELOPERS IN OCEAN HAZARD AND ESTUARINE HAZARD AREAS:
I acknowledge that the land owner is aware that the proposed development is planned for an area which may
be susceptible to erosion and/or flooding. I acknowledge that the local permit officer has explained.to me the
particular hazard problems associated with this lot. This explanation was accompanied by recommendations
concerning stabilization and floodproofing techniques.
PERMISSION TO ENTER ON LAND
I furthermore certify that I am authorized to grant and do in fact grant permission to the local permit officer
and his agents to enter on the aforementioned lands in connection with evaluating information related to this
permit application.
This application includes: general information (this form), a site drawing as described on the back of this ap-
plication, the ownership statement, the AEC hazard notice where necessary, a check for $50.00 made payable to
the locality, and any information as may be provided orally by the applicant. The details of the application as
described by these sources are incorporated without reference in any permit which may be issued. Deviation
from these details will constitute a violation of any permit. Any person developing in an AEC without a per-
mit is subject to civil, criminal and administrative action.

Dear Dr. Grunwaldt:
The Town of Oriental has reviewed your residentialbuilding
proposal submitted by your agent, Charles Rivenbark, at 5310
Bogue Drive and found it to be in compliance with. the Oriental
Growth Management Ordinance. Attached are copies of the
"Application for Letter of Compliance", a plot drawing and an
elevation drawing. Future changes which are not in accordance
with the Oriental Growth Management Ordinance could void this
permit.
Water and sewer is available to lots in the Oriental town
limits providing:
1. The property owner (or their agent) submit a construction
proposal to the Town to be reviewed for compliance under the
Oriental Growth Management Ordinance. If the proposal is found
to be in compliance, such as this proposal, a Letter of
Compliance is issued. This Letter o•f Compliance is necessary to
obtain a Pamlico County Building Permit.
2. A Pamlico County Building Permit must be obtained within
one (1) year of the issuance of the Letter of Compliance and
construction begun within one (1) year of the issuance of the
Pamlico County Building Inspection Permit. If either of these
conditions are not met, then the property owner must reapply to
the Town.
3. A water tap can be applied for at any time from the Town
of Oriental (249-0555). A sewer tap can be obtained from the .Bay
River Metropolitan Sewer District Office (745-4812). All taps
must.be paid for prior to their installation.
