We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The project and location is described as follows:
Construction of a 5' x 86' pier with an 8' x 24' "L" and two tie
piles at your property off SR1321, Lot 04 of the Jerry Cartwright
Subdivision near the Pamlico County Community of Whortonsville,
North Carolina.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be
necessary to renew this certification.
