Dear Mr. Dunbar:
lie have 'reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development''permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The project and location is described as follows:
Construction of a 6'-x 100' pier with the "T" end being L_0� x 25,
at'..yaur.property off Hwy. 55 onto Kershaw Rd. about 200 yds. and turn
left on.Shortline.St., take another left on gravel road to Smith Creek;
near the Pamlico County Community of Oriental,,N. C.
This certification'of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90).days from the date of issuance. Following,
expiration, a re-examination of'the project and project site may be
necessary to renew this certification.
