Dear Mr. Simpson:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The project and location is described as follows:
A 3' wide x 1' deep swale down each side of the property line
between 75' and 40' of-Cox's Gut off Smith Creek at Lot 012 of the
Orient Point Subdivision near Oriental, N. C.; Pamlico County..
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be
necessary to renew this certification.
