Dear Mr. Cannon:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
the inquiry.concerning the necessity of filing an application for a
minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The
proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the Criteria for
Exemption and will not require a minor development permit. However, if
your plans should change you will need to contact this office before
proceeding.,
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
Repair of an existing--pier,--extending it 24, and adding a 16'
The location is off —Blackwell Point Rd. on Smith Creek near the
Pamlico County Community of Oriental, N. C.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA Permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may
be necessary to renew this certification.
