Dear Mr. Forman:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a 'minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is'in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
Construction of an "L" shaped addition to an existing pier at
the end of Skipper's Circle at Block "ll" and "F" on Whittaker Creek
in the Pamlico County Community of Oriental, N. C.
This certification of exemption from requiring a LAMA permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be
necessary to renew this certification.
Please be advised that a building permit from the Pamlico County
Inspections Department is required before construction is begun.
