Dear Ms. Boyd:
We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in
your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for
a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act.
The proposed project, as submitted, is in accordance with the
enclosed Criteria for Exemption and will not not require a minor
development permit. However, if your plans should change you will
need to contact this office before proceeding.
The proposed project and location is described as follows:
Repair/replacent of an existing pier 5' x 961 with a 10, x 20,
"T" end at 133 Creekside Drive off SR1117 on Beards Creek in Pamlico
County, North Carolina.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAM permit is
valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issuance. Following
expiration, a re-examination of the project and project site may be
necessary to renew.this certification.
Please be advised.that a building permit from the Pamlico County
Inspections Department is required before construction is begun.
