MURAGLIA CITY TREASURER Re: Exempted Project (Minor) 323 Riverside Drive We have reviewed the information submitted to this office in your inquiry concerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor development permit under the Coastal Area Management Act. The activity , you propose is exempt from needing a minor development permit as long as it meets the conditions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no longer meet those conditions please contact me before proceeding. All development must comply with the Neuse River Buffer Rules as stated in 15A NCAC 213.0100 and 15A NCAC 213.0200. Any questions regarding these rules should be directed to the NC Division of Water Quality Washington Regional Office 252-946-6481. In order to prevent sedimentation, a vegetated buffer zone must be maintained between all disturbed areas and the adjacent waterbody or marsh. In this case a 60' foot wide buffer has been accepted. Prior to initiating any land -disturbing activities, a barrier line of filter cloth, staked hay bales or burlap must be installed between the land -disturbing activity and the adjacent marsh or water areas, until such time as the area has been properly stabilized with a vegetated cover. All proposed construction must conform to the NC Building Code requirements and all Local, State and Federal regulations.
