Box 3337 New Bern, NC 28560 Dear Mr. Freeman: I have. talked to you several times concerning Mr. Ward building a pier located at 2802 Old Cherry Point Road, Neuse River, in Craven County. You had concerns about where the riparian rights were for your property and Mr. Ward's. On April,30, 1990, I again talked to you and you stated that you did not wish to hold the Ward's up any longer and that you did not object to the installation of the pier less than 15' from your riparian property line. Enclosed is General Permit #C-6299 allowing for the construction of a 270' long x 5' wide pier with an 'L' measuring 24' long x 16' wide. Also enclosed is a method of how to determine riparian property rights plus a diagram which I hope will be helpful to you.
