This letter is -to confirm our January 24, 1984, conversations in
the field concerning -the -proposed street end improvements and dune
crosswalks at Gulfstream, Enterprise, and BitternStreets adjacent
to the Atlantic Ocean in the Town of Nags Head, Dare County. This
letter also confirms our conversations concerning the handicapped
dune crosswalk and deck at the Town of Nags Head public beach access
facility.
The street_ end__pr_opo-sals_.are exempt-from-CAMA permit--r-equirements _._
- pursuant to 15NCAC 07.K.0101(1) for the street improvements, and pur
suant to 15NCAC 07K.0308 for the proposed elevated dune crosswalks.
As you indicated to me, the vehicular accessways are used only for
emergency traffic, and are not proposed for,improvement in this ap-
plication.
The proposal by the town for the. handicapped dune crosswalk and deck
at the public beach access facility will require a CAMA Minor permit
and this is currently being processed by this office.
