Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
Iandowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Hello Steve,
We were so happy to hear that you purchased the property next door to our house on Cottonwood Court. It's a
beautiful spot on the water and know you will enjoy living there. We also understand you and your wife attend First United
Methodist Church, as we do. Perhaps our paths will cross there as well.
After looking at your drawing for the dock renovation, although you may be within the 15' set back required by CAMA,
we certainly have no issue with your boat lift and walk -around, however we are opposed to the additional 10' to the
existing dock and a place for an additional boat slip. We feel this will affect the view from our house, as all we will see
from our perspective will be a marina. We would prefer that your boat lift be close to your dock. As you are certainly
aware, the view is key to these properties.
Please consider providing an alternate drawing.
