This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

1e 4 - CRITERIA FOR EXEMPTION NOTICES
(11) Piers may have T-heads or platforms not exceeding
500 square feet built at their wa'erward end and
not covering any wetland areas.

7K .0309 - SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES EXEMPTED
(a) All single family residences constructed within the
Estuarine Shoreline Area of Environmental Concern which are more
than 40' landward of the mean high water mark or normal water
level, and involve no land disturbing activity between the
residence and the 40' buffer area are exempted from the CAMA
permit requirement as long as this exemption is consistent with
all other applicable CAMA permit standards and local land use
plans and/or regulations in effect at the time the exemption is
granted. This exemption does allow for the construction of an
access to the water not exceeding 6' in width.
(b) This exemption is subject to the conditions of
notifications required by 15 NCAC 7K .0307 (b).
(c) In eroding areas, this exemption shall apply only when in
the opinion of the local permit officer the house has been
located the maximum feasible distance back on the lot but not
less than 40'.

Regulation 15 NCAC - 7H .0208 (b) (6) (F)
(F) Piers shall not interfere with the access•to any riparian
property and shall have a minimum setback of fifteen (15) feet
between any part of the pier and the adjacent property lines
extended into the water at the points that they intersect the
shoreline.
