If both of my neighbors choose to build docks out to the channel, I am concerned that my options will be unduly limited for building a dock of my own. By granting this permit, am I assured of my future right to build a dock? I am also concerned about the "sketchiness" of the sketch. The first version had the property ownership reversed, but this was corrected in the second version. I assume that Ford also received a corrected version, as he is the one who is most affected by the current proposal. There is a new structure on the existing dock; I assume this is permitted and is not included in this design. Is a permit required for this structure also? As a 20 year resident of Bogue Sound, I am disappointed at how the permission to build docks out to the channel has affected the general ambience of the sound. The abundance of crabs, fish and shellfish that we first enjoyed has been seriously reduced. Has any analysis of pollution by treated timbers been done? I am sure there are other factors also, but it seems unnecessary to compound the other problems with more chemicals. Yours truly, Bessie M. Carrington
