Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of- ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi- fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they have no objections to the proposed work. In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program. MOFFITT one of the adjacent property owners, objected to Mr. J.S. Barnhill's proposal to construct DIRECTOR a 6' x 112' pier with a 16' x 16' L-head and a 12' x 12' uncovered boatlift onsite his property located at the end of SR 1746 at Teach's Point on Back Creek near Bath in Beaufort County, North Carolina. The Division of Coastal Management has given your objection careful consideration and has determined that the project as proposed is consistent with the appropriate rules and regulations of the Division. Consequently, the Division issued General Permit No.25030B on 5 June 2000 to Mr. J.S. Barnhill for the proposed pier construction and boatlift . See attached. If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days of the permit decision.
