The proposed project to be located and constructed as described
above is hereby certified as exempt from the CAMA permit re-
quirement pursuant to 15 NCAC 7K .0203. This exemption to
CAMA permit requirements does not alleviate the necessity of
your obtaining any other State, Federal, or Local authorization.
Any person who proceeds with a development without the con-
sent of a CAMA official under the mistaken assumption that the
development is exempted, will be in violation of the CAMA 4 there
is a subsequent determination that a permit was required for the
development.
The applicant certifies by signing this exemption that (1) the ap-
plicant has read and will abide by the conditions of this exemp-
tion, and (2) a written statement has been obtained from adjacent
landowners certifying that they have no objections to the
proposed work.

This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA permit is
valid for 60 days from the date of issuance. Following expiration,
a re-examination of the project and project site may be necessary
to continue this certification.

Dear Mr. Mentzer:
You received an exemption from Charles Jones on April 16,
1991 for the construction of a bulkhead located at your property
on Greens Creek, Lot #11 in Otter Creek Subdivision, near
Oriental, in Pamlico County. The exemption he issued to you
expired July 16, 1991.
I visited your property on December 11, 1991 to check the
staked alignment.
This letter re -authorizes your proposed bulkhead for an
additional ninety (90) days and thus expires on March 16, 1992.
All of the original exemption requirements apply. This letter
should be attached to your original exemption certification.

I hereby certify I own property adjacent to Francis
and Diana Mentzer's property located at Lot 11, Otter
Creek on Green Creek in Township 5, North Carolina in
Pamlico County. I have no objection to the proposed bulk-
head project as shown on their plot plan which I
recently received.
