As the adjacent riparian landowner on Sherman Rose Gut, off
Tar Creek, off Lower- Broad Creek in Township 2, community of
Pamlico in Pamlico County, I do have objections to the proposed
pier- as defined in ref (a)
When viewed from ref (a) attached drawing, the pier does not
appear- to present a problem. However, when drawn in on a drawing
and aerial photo showing the location of the pier- relative to
Sherman Rose Gut and my property, it causes me some concern.
I believe the overall length of 115' pier and additional 15'
for the tie -off pilings will hamper- my ingress, egress and regress
to Tar Creek. If the overall length over water ('including tie -off
pilings) did not exceed 100', I believe Mr. Mays would have the
desired water depth and I would not object to the pier.
I appreciate the opportunity- to share my views on this
matter, if I can be of any assistance in this matter, do not
hesitate to contact me.

Per our conversation I have enclosed one of Mr. Ted Mays
Adjacent. Property Owner's statements.
T hrive been in contact with Mr. Mills in reference to this
projectfor about 2 months and his reasons for not signing a
statement have bp.e.n changing or varied.
We have had stakes in the water outlining the dock since May
19th. Mr Mills had agreed to look at the dock location with me
but never called so I could meet him on site. Thus, the
statements were sent out June 22nd.
Mr. Mays and I feel we have not accomplished anything toward
starting this project; therefore, we must take steps to do so.
Please advise if you need more information. We hope you
will be able to issue a permit, soon.
