Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Lane,
I request a permit to add four (4) mooring pilings adjacent to my existing
dock to secure my boat.
The existing dock extends into Spring Creek 6 feet wide and 26 feet from
the sea wall of my property in a Westerly direction, and has an "L" 6 feet
wide and 25 feet long on the end, which extends to the South. Two of the
mooring pilings will be placed 42 feet West of the sea wall, which will put
them 16 feet West of the existing dock. They will be in a row extending a
total of 42 feet North to South. The 3rd piling will be placed 8 feet North of
the existing dock and 26 feet West of the sea wall. The 4th piling will be
placed 12 feet South of the existing dock and 26 feet West of the sea wall
The pilings will not encroach upon any of my neighbors within the 15 feet
setback.
Spring Creek at my location is approximately 200 to 225 feet wide. I
estimate the pilings will be approximately 30 feet from the navigational
channel. Spring Creek flows normally North to South into Northwest Creek
and is approximately 8 feet deep in the channel at my location, and
approximately 5 feet normal depth on the West side of my dock.
My property borders a Fairfield Harbour Property Owners Association
easement that is 30 feet wide to my South. I have received permission
from the water front property owner to the North, a copy of that statement
is enclosed.

This is a follow up to your visit last week, and my request to put four mooring pilings to
secure my boat at my existing dock..
Enclosed is the concurrence that you requested from the adjacent property owner to the
south of my property. The property is an easement controlled by the Fairfield Harbor Property
Owners Association.
