This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Willis,
1) Mr. Baysden described verbally that your wall will avoid the wetlands on the east side
of lot 414, as ours does on our lot # 15. That really pleases us as we like to see them preserved.
2) He also said that you will reduce your wall height of 8 feet, beginning 40 feet from where you
plan to meet our wall, such that it slopes down to the same height as ours where they meet. We appreciate
that too, as we think it will be helpful aesthetically.
3) Your drawing shows that the pier on lot # 14 will be either centered or to the west of center of lot # 14.
Distances aren't shown, but if that is the plan we have no objection and in fact appreciate
your having adopted at least a central path, as have we.
If our understanding expressed above is correct, we have no objections to your proposed
pier and eastside wall layout. And we look forward to having you as our neighbor.
