Any violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become null and void. This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian landowner(s) . He received our package requesting approval on 10/22/04. Mr. Moore and I spoke on Sunday 10/24/04 8:30 AM by telephone. He expressed his concern of maintaining a pleasing appearance but had no objection to the improvements. Division of Coastal Management for Permit. This dept. requires that we notify you by certified mail and request your response within 10 days. We propose to install large rocks / break water along the bulkhead of our property like the rocks protecting the bulkhead on Mr. Moore's property to the east of our property. The purpose of this is to protect the bulkhead from the wave action of the river and boat traffic. We propose to replace the treated timbers along the top of the bulkhead after the rocks have been installed. We then propose to back fill the eroded area with top soil and plant grass to help prevent future erosion. We desire your permission to extend these rocks the full width of our property 117' +/- along the water front. We need to implement these repairs as soon as possible. We propose to install a dock with boat lift in accordance to the drawing enclosed. We propose that the dock / pier be 5' x 115' fabricated from pressure treated lumber. We propose to install a boat lift rated for 10,000#. This pier is proposed to extend from the center of our property, approximately 58' from either adjoining property line.
