This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certify that this project is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

Dear Mr. Lane
Tradewinds Marina LLC, a private marina located on the sound side, Indian Beach, NC
desires to install "Low Profile" Boat Lifts in the marina.
These Boat Lifts will be installed on existing docks that have been is place for many
years, rebuilt in the year 1988. Currently, there are 28 boat slips located on the left or
West side of the marina and eleven slips located on the right or East side of the marina. '-rr

Over time, we desire to install lifts on all 28 slips on the West side and maybe two slips
on the East side.
The seawall, grass area around the marina and the roadway are owner by Tradewinds
Marina LLC. The Boat Lifts will be located at least 28 feet from the nearest private
property. We will not make any change to the existing docks. The boatlifts will be set
back at least 140 feet from any area of riparian access.
