Statement of Compliance and Consistency
This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing and attached general and specific conditions. Any
violation of these terms may subject the permittee to a fine or criminal or civil action; and may cause the permit to become
null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit officer when the project is inspected for compliance. The
applicant certifies by signing this permit that 1) prior to undertaking any activities authorized by this permit, the applicant will
confer with appropriate local authorities to confirm that this project is consistent with the local land use plan and all local
ordinances, and 2) a written statement or certified mail return receipt has been obtained from the adjacent riparian
landowner(s) .
The State of North Carolina and the Division of Coastal Management, in issuing this permit under the best available
information and belief, certifythat this project is consistentwith the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

The Sanders Point Homeowners Association would like to get a permit and approval in
order to make minor repairs and modifications to our existing pier located on Live Oaks
Road in Carteret County. The Sanders Point Subdivision along with the (40) foot
waterfront access area and pier are recorded in Map Book 29, Page 129, Carteret County
Registry by Pate Phillips and Associates, P.A., dated May 7, 1997.
We have met with the adjacent property owner of our existing pier and notified them of
the repairs and modification which we are requesting approval to do and have obtained
their signature below that they have no objections to the proposed work.
Attached is a drawing of our existing pier and a drawing of the modifications which we
would like a permit to do. We want to build (3) finger piers which will improve the safety
of our boaters getting on and off of their boats and removed the old poles and install new
20 foot poles to better support the existing pier and boat slips.
Your help in this matter would be appreciated.
