The proposed maintenance is dredging the slip to maintain the ability to maneuver into and out of the slip safely at low tide. I am currently unable to do this. I plan to contract this work with Mr. Dean Barnes of Barnes Dredging, 107 Old Causeway Road, Atlantic Beach, North Carolina 28512, telephone number 252-241- 1504. The dredged materials will be removed offsite and transported to an appropriate fill area in accordance with applicable municipal, county, state, and federal rules and regulations. I have estimated that the volume of the material to be removed will be approximately 2,000 cubic feet or 74.1 cubic yards, measured by fifty feet long x 10 feet wide x 4 feet deep. I prepared a "Boat Slip Dredging" sketch showing the proposed limits of dredging, copy attached, to show the location of the slip and illustrate the limits of dredging. I have also attached tax map records of the subject slip and those of the adjacent property owners.
