This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

This correspondence is in reference to your letter regarding the CAMA Major Permit
Application submitted by H. Clark Davis and Leona Willis Hall. The application
DONNA D. MOFFITT included a proposed pier and boat ramp that would be located at the Hall/Clark property,

off lots #6 and 7 on Island Road, on Back Sound, in Harkers Island. The proposed pier
would be 6' wide and 250' in length with a 10' X 20' "T"-shaped platform and provide
docking for four boat slips. The boat ramp would be would be 10' X 34' in size and
both would be for private use.
On June 21, 2000, the applicant decided to withdraw their CAMA Major Permit
Application from processing. At that time, the applicants scaled down their proposal to
limit the pier to 240' in length with only 2 boat slips. The boat ramp was permitted as
original proposed.
The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management has given careful consideration to
your letter, however has determined that the project is consistent with the appropriate
regulations of the Division. Consequently, the Division issued CAMA General Permit
#25624-C to Mrs. Leona Willis on June 26, 2000.
If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the
Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources
within 20 days of the permit decision. If you have any questions regarding this matter,
