This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
{ land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

This is to notify and grant you permission to construct repairs to my neighbor's (Gordon
Vermillion) pier per our conversation on Monday, Febntary 21, 2000.
In addition I asked that you inspect my pier and sea wall for repairs. In particular I am
interested in having an additional (6" round) piling installed on the opposite side (toward New
Bern) of where my Title Tamer is for my Sunfish. This piling is to carry my Zodiac and 5-hp
motor. My, neighbor, Mrs. Elise Behnke will let you in my garage to determine the size of my
Zodiac and the type of lift that will be required.
Also I may need an additional (6" round) piling or two where my sea wall has been weakened
by the recent hurricanes. In particular there is a 4" round piling facing the wall on the left side
(toward New Bern) that concerns me— Your estimate will be appreciated before work begins. Please

morning to discuss any of this.
