This permit is subject to compliance with this application, site drawing
and attached general and specific conditions. Any violation of these terms
may subject the permittee to a fine, imprisonment or civil action; and
may cause the permit to become null and void.
This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

We have received the information submitted to this office in your inquiry con-
cerning the necessity of filing an application for a minor development permit
under the Coastal Area Management Act. The activity you propose is exempt
from needing a minor development permit providing it complies with the condi-
tions specified below. If your plans should change and your project will no
longer meet those conditions, please contact me before proceeding.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY AND CONDITIONS:
ACTIVITY: CONSTRUCT A PIER ON BROAD CREEK - 41X 50' IN LENGTH WITH A
8'X 12' "L" AT END OF PIER. ALSO INSTALL A BOATLIFT.
CONDITIONS: PIER SHALL NOT EXCEED MORE THAN 200 FEET IN LENGTH NOR SHALL
THE "L" AT END OF PIER EXCEED MORE THAN 500 SQ.FT. PIER NOR
BOATLIFT SHALL EXTEND MORE THAN 1/3 OF THE WAY ACROSS THE
WATERBODY. ANY CHANGE IN THIS PROPOSAL SHALL BE RE-EVALUATED
BY THE CAMA OFFICER. A BUILDING PERMIT IS REQUIRED.
This certification of exemption from requiring a CAMA Permit is vaiid for
ninety (iv) days fr.—M the 'date cf ics laince. Fnil_owi_na expiration, a review of
