Point "C" to Pointe S84'40'52"W 27.80' Certificate of Survey and Accuracy ENR NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES DIVISION OF COASTAL MANAGEMENT August 28, 2000 Mr. Al Padgett 103 Bimini Court Havelock, NC 28532 Dear Mr. Padgett: This correspondence is in reference to your objection to the proposed dock construction by your adjacent riparian property owner, Mr. Nuno Rei. The project is located off SR 1713, on lot #13 in the Moorings Subdivision, on Clubfoot Creek, near Harlowe, Craven County. The proposed pier would be 152' in length with an 8' X 32' "U-shaped platform. The pier would not extend beyond the established pierhead line. The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management has given your objections careful consideration and has determined that the project is consistent with the pertinent regulations of the Division. Therefore, on August 25, 2000 the Division issued CAMA General Permit #26641-C to Mr. Nuno Rei. And although you requested that the pier be no closer than 32.5' from the southernmost piling, the enclosed permit authorizes the pier at 36' from the same southernmost piling. However, please note that the Division considers the common riparian line to be 15' off your dock and not the aforementioned piling. If you wish to appeal this permit decision, you may file a request with the Director of the Division of Coastal Management, Department of Environment and Natural Resources within 20 days of the permit decision.
