This permit must be on the project site and accessible to the permit of-
ficer when the project is inspected for compliance. The applicant certi-
fies by signing this permit that 1) this project is consistent with the local
land use plan and all local ordinances, and 2) a written statement has
been obtained from adjacent riparian landowners certifying that they
have no objections to the proposed work.
In issuing this permit the State of North Carolina certifies that this project
is consistent with the North Carolina Coastal Management Program.

f=:> The North Carolina Division of Coastal Management (DCM) has received a title opinion on this
V' project site from Jimmie Hicks, attorney representing Pamlico County. The title opinion is
N�.
'£ hereby approved and as of today's date, the County is authorized to expend grant funds for the
Y 't' Styrontown Beach Road Access. Funds previously expended for grading activities at the site
. may not be charged to the grant or used as local match for this project.
. DCM also approves the County's request to modify the project to construct a 100' x 6' pier with
a 16' x 16' platform at the end, instead of the 100' x 8' pier that was originally proposed. This
modification is approved with the knowledge that no additional grant funds are available for
the project. I understand that DCM issued CAMA General Permit #25518-C on May 5, 2000
for the pier and shoreline stabilization components of the project. Please be sure that all other
required permits are obtained prior to beginning work.
