High and low tide depths in Sleepy Creek are regulated by the North East winds and South West winds. When the wind blows from the South West, deep water at low tide in the Fish's boat basin is a trickle (0-10 inches), while deep water at low tide is 5-12 inches when the wind blows from the North East for several days.
